The European Short Story Network is a non-profit, pan-European initiative by authors, publishers and literature festivals. Its aim is simple – to celebrate the work of contemporary short story writers from across Europe, and to help readers find and enjoy their work.
We’ll be adding lots of new short stories and interviews with authors on a monthly basis. If you want to know more, and get updates about new stories, please sign up to our newsletter.
The European Short Story Network works in partnership with Comma Press, an independent publisher based in Manchester, UK, specialising in the short story. More about Comma Press
European Short Story Network authors have performed at some wonderful festivals over the past year, including The Festival of the European Short Story (Croatia), Kikinda Short (Serbia), Wroclaw Short Story Festival (Poland), Liverpool’s Chapter and Verse and the Manchester Literature Festival (England).
The European Short Story Network is grateful for the support it has received from a number of grant-making organisations and cultural institutes (you can find their logos at the bottom of this page) and particularly from The European Cultural Foundation (www.eurocult.org), who have assisted us in setting up this website.
