Adam Marek is a short story writer from the UK.
His first story collection, Instruction Manual for Swallowing, was published by Comma Press in 2007 and was nominated for the Frank O’Connor Prize. In 2011, he was awarded the Arts Foundation Fellowship in Short Story Writing. He was shortlisted for the inaugural Sunday Times EFG Short Story Award in 2010. His stories have also appeared in The Sunday Times, Prospect magazine, The Stinging Fly, Riptide, and in anthologies including When it Changed, The New Uncanny and Litmus from Comma Press, two Bridport Prize collections and the British Council’s New Writing 15, plus online at Pulp.net and in Southword.
His new short story collection The Stone Thrower is published by Comma Press in 2012.
